Bingo: A game of Numbers
There are two things that comes to mind when a person hears the word bingo. It could either be a nursery rhyme song that your preschool teacher sing to you. You know the song that narrates about a farmer named Bingo, and the other one is that famous game you see being played by our grandmothers in a local bingo hall. A lot of people does not consider bingo as their game of choice, but not until the birth of the online bingo which is a mixture of thrill, chat sessions and impressive winnings all at the same time.
The origin of bingo came from Italy in the year 1500 which was founded by the Italian National Lottery. This game was spread out quickly all over Europe and America in the year 1929 which was then called Beano. The game was first played at a carnival by a man named Edwin Lowe. He was enthralled by the simplicity of the game which was then played using beans to mark the numbers in the card. After which, Lowe made a homemade version of the game and started playing beano in evenings at home which became a big success. One exciting night, a player was able to complete the pattern and to his excitement, he jumped out yelling bingo instead of uttering the word beano, the name had its mark and it was called bingo from then on. Lowe was successful is marketing the game which began the great history of bingo.
Generally, a player has card which is composed of a 5x5 grid or some have several cards, this depends on the level of skills of the players. Each column has a corresponding letter and contains five numbers under these letters. The caller calls out the numbers and the player must cover each number that will form a winning pattern for them to win. The game ends when a person shouts bingo, which means that player has already completed a winning pattern.
The combination of numbers in a every card is somewhere between 6,000 to 9,000 so it is really impossible to cheat in this game. Legend would say that the great Mathematician who created all the number combinations has drove himself insane. Players must be keen to listening because the game is fast paced and once you don;t play attention, there is a big possibility that you miss out a certain number. Missing even just a single number can lower your chances of winning.
